Burly Bundle is about to pass the one year mark and I am incredibly grateful for so many things. First and foremost, my customers and subscribers! Without you, this would be a sad occasion, instead it is one for celebration. “Thank you, from the depth of my soul for your continued support. I could not have done this without you!” Those XOXO’s you see on the stuff you receive, They Are For Real!!
Thank you to all the performers, troupes, burly schools, and show producers who have given shout-outs, kudos, hi-fives, and posts about Burly Bundle. I am truly grateful to be in this community of talented and supportive humans who continue to inspire and dazzle me! You all are burlybadasses and I adore you!
I am grateful to have spent everyday this year playing in the burlesque costume accessory world. This is a dream-come-true for me. I love thinking of new ideas for you, making mock-ups, trying them out, sometimes starting over and over until I discover what will work and how I will explain “how to do it” in the instructions. (I have learned that I suck at taking/editing videos so I work really hard on the paper instructions. Goal for year 2 – Learn how to make and edit videos! )
In this past year I have amassed more rhinestones, feathers, trim, fabric, fringe, elastics, gloves, fans, emergency kit items and NIPSIES (pastie bases) than I ever could have imagined! (that is saying a lot for an ex-performer) IT IS WONDERFUL! I am grateful for all of this so I can create and design burlesque accessories. I am excited for the upcoming bundles that I have planned because they continue to expand a subscribers burlesque wardrobe with new, beautiful and fun items.
Misfits! I am also very grateful for the misfits pile. This is where all the items that don’t work out go. For example; when I was working on the first bundle, the Fire & Ice Mask – I decided to design and make the mask from scratch out of a stiff, flat sheet of thermoplastic. I thought, easy-peasy - I have made stage masks for numbers before… Well, suffice to say, the mask misfit pile is kinda big but the final mask is AWESOME so much gratitude to that pile!
Coming from the muggle world of Sales, I learned quickly just how “old school” I was and have spent the past year learning the world of social media. What an eye-opener!! I am grateful this has also allowed me to learn how to create a photo studio, continue to learn how take photos and figure out content. I will continue to be a student of all this for the rest of my life.
Last but not least, I am grateful for the support of my life partner, Rocky Tetons. As I invest money, time and energy into Burly Bundle, you have had my back the whole way.
